Lakemist Homes is owned and operated by Jim Feldman. Jim's interest in the building profession began when he received his BS degree in Architecture from Ohio State University. Dating back to when he started building homes for one of the largest residential builders in the country, he quickly rose through the ranks to Construction Manager, Division President and ultimately Regional President for homebuilding operations of a multi-state area. During that time he attained his MBA from Loyola University. Throughout his thirty year career, Jim utilized his vast experience and analytical nature to focus on improving quality and efficiency in every phase of residential construction, whether the home was valued at a few hundred thousand or over a million. Jim is a licensed General Contractor in NC.
Jim and his family have been residents of Mooresville, Lake Norman Area for the past ten years. To underscore his commitment to the local community, Jim has been very involved in several local charities. He served on the building committee for the new Dove House facility and is currently a member and former President of the Board of Trustees for the NC chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He also served on the board of BAYAA, a local youth sports league.
Jim serves as a board director with the Lake Norman Home Builders Association.
